My wife has a flower bed that's in the shade and the dirt is nice and cool. Well the dogs love it of course, but it's destroying the flowers. We put up a little fence (2' tall) but it's ugly.
Let me know if you have any good ideas...I'd rather not use cyan pepper or things like that...thanks.
How do you keep a dog out of a certain part of the yard?
Hi There.
You can get a product called scram or keep of. They are non toxic pellets that you put down the odur they emit is distastful to dog and cats.
Reply:Does your dog like to be sprayed with water??? If it hates it, or gets aggrivated with it, spray it when it gets in there...for now, dont let your dog out without supervision until you get this behavior changed...you can also correct your dog verbally, walk it away and when it copies your commands, give it a treat...depends on what you want to try...thats all I have...most dogs I owned listened when I raised my voice...*shrug*
Reply:i say you try peeing where you want him to pee see if that works.....
Reply:Moth balls...they hate the smell.
Reply:Spread some land mines...just kidding, you might consider getting an invisible fence system.
Reply:hi, pet shops sell things to spray in areas to make the dogs not want to go there. not sure if they work but it might be worth a try. i have a can of Behave but i dont recall it working (for indoor training) and i have used cayanne pepper on plants outdoors and i think it worked but seems i had to apply it daily. if you had gotten alot of good answers i wouldnt have bothered u w/this, but this is the best info i have. good luck :)
Reply:electric fence?
Reply:you could put a fence arround it like a wire one. or you can go to walmart and get like a lil decorated fence since its your flower bed...
