What kind of Plant is this?

In the picture its the plant with just the green leaves, none of the pink is part of this plant.

I have this plant and last year when i bought it, it had really pretty flowers, then it completly died. This year it came back but it hasnt produced any flowers or buds. Does anyone know the name of this plant? and how I can get it to bloom.

My first thought is a Hosta, I'm not sure what species, but it wouldn't be hard to find out. Hosta's are a shade loving plant and come in several different species.
Reply:It is an old variety of hosta lily. The pink-leafed plant next to it appear to be a polka dot plant.

A hosta is a perennial. It dies down after frost and sprouts up again in the spring.

The particular variety of hosta you have is a good "spreader." Once planted (if done early enough) its leaves will enlarge and fan out to produce a showy plant. It will be even thicker next year if planted in the ground.

Hostas are usually planted for their showy leaves, not their flowers. But the flowers are unique in their own right.
Reply:It's very similar to the hosta plant

They come in several varities and colors.

The will have a long spike stem come from the center with small lavendar flowers along the stem.

Reply:if it is a hosta then they bloom later on in the year (like near fall) Id say give it time to bloom yet
Reply:It looks like a hosta, one of the type lancifolia ( lance-shaped leaf) This plant will grow real well in your garden or in a pot. It will have flowers, white or lilac on stiff stems. They are mainly grown for their nice foliage. They love shade!

I have over 50 different varieties in my garden.
Reply:It's a Hasta. I'm in Wisc. and the flowers don't come until August.
Reply:Hosta
Reply:I can't tell you what plant it is but I can give you a little advice on it's nurturing. Give it a feed and some sea weed emultion this will give it a new lease on life and will surly make it bloom. Always read the instructions on the products and never over do it.
Reply:It's possible it could be a hosta. It kindof looks like it. Give it miracle grow or something like that to bring it back.
Reply:it looks like hosta , you didnt say what the flowers looked like when the plant bloomed. Were the plants on a spike that came above the plant about a foot maybe white or pink flowers if i have just described your flowers than this is a hosta and if it is a hosta there will be flowers soon some of my hostas are just starting to send flowers some of the other hostas are blooming right now i hope this helps
