Dandelion Clock Tattoo...?

I am dead set on getting a dandelion clock tattoo.... If you don't know a dandelion clock is the globe looking seed part of the flower. There is a lot of lore behind it, it is said that is you can use one breath and blow all the seeds off all your wishes will be fulfilled. Anyone have any pictures of someone with this tattoo already.. I want to get it so that seeds are all off the head and blowing thorough the air, I want it delicate looking as well.

Dandelion Clock Tattoo...?
that would be a wonderful and unique tattoo! the fact is that you do not need a picture of a tattoo in order to get it tattooed. what you WILL need for such an intricate and complicated tattoo is a very talented custom tattoo artist. not just any artist in any shop can pull that off. trust me! you also may have to get the tattoo larger than what you are thinking or the detail will not be possible. but here is a list of custom tattoo artists from around the country. hopefully you'll find someone in your area that is talented and does the style that you are looking for. in my opinion nikko hurtado would be awesome at this. he is great at photorealism. as would nick baxter, but that's just my opinion.

Reply:you will need to shop around the tatoo artists and find one that is good enough for yoour tastes.

Is this a good poem/ am i a good poet?

Once upon my wounds i wept, and now again i cry.

Never to escape th pain, as again and again i die.

i hoped and prayed upon my wound, my prayer was not to keep.

Once again i die alone, my soul was put to sleep.

Weep for the little girl, as she dies and dies again.

For no one could ever understand, how and where she's been.

a Battlefield, a lonely life, was all to keep her sane.

But never did it undertake, her heart's forbidden strain.

a scared little girl i was, a girl as old as age.

Nothing could contain her sorrow, nothing could surpass her rage.

A great love marked his watery grave, a love that was but a loss.

No more to die and die again, for her boy among the moss.

She loves him still and forevermore, but the grave to prove his part.

A lone flower, and widowed girl, forever mourn for her braveheart.

Please tell me what you think, i need to know whether i am good or not.........

Reply:I loved your poem. There was a lot of good feeling and good form. You have a great talent. I am guessing you are quite young, not from the quality of the poem, but your subject. As your talent developes, I expect to see a lot of your poems a lot of places. Keep copies of what you write, and date them. If your bank has a free notary, write the work of "your name" and the date it was written, and have them stamp it. This is neither a copyright , or as good as one, but it will offer some protection for your work. I am sort of wondering if you have been through things expressed in your poem. If so, my prayers for your comfort. Keep Writing. Get a copy of "Writers Market". My best.

Gregor mendel question? 10 points gets the right anwser!?
prevent cross pollination
Reply:Ah, the father of modern genetics. Perhaps it was to experiment with different plants in a selective way. For example, if the male part is missing, the plant cannot fertilize itself. This way, he can interbreed plants of different colors or leaf-types and can be selective about it to see which color, for example, is dominant.
Reply:To prevent self fertilization and experiment with cross fertilization. For example, he wondered: "What if I cross fertilize a purple flower with a white one...? Thus giving birth to the term hybrids or the offspring of 2 different varieties. ;)
Reply:small bags over flowers prevented cross-pollination; immature stamens==== could be removed to prevent self-pollination==== to insure the parentage of new seeds

Is dill pretty EASTY TO GROW???

I think it's a lovely plant and I love the look + texture -- shape of 'leaves' it has. Thought about using it as a fill in border in some parts of my garden, only my flower garden is full sun.

Does dill prefer FS or PS??

Is it QUICK %26amp; easy growing?

I'm grownig for seed

thx!

Is dill pretty EASTY TO GROW???
Dill is GREAT to grow. Fresh dill great to have, and homemade pickles are a great thing to do.

We had dill in Arizona at one point. Sun is no big deal for dill.

I recommend growing the dill in garden boxes. It makes it so easy.

You can build your own self contained garden box. We did it.

Good luck with your dill!
Reply:Yes, dill grows easier in a do. That's why they call it a dilldo.
Reply:Yes,it grows just like a weed and full sun is good, just give it plenty of water. Insects like it. I like it. It makes a good garnish as well as a flavor enhancer for food. It smells good when crushed too. It grows tall to about 30 inches in case you are not aware.
Reply:Dill grows fairly quickly, and does not care whether it has full or partial sunlight... The only problem it has, (and this is a benefit to tomatoes) is that the horned tomato worm loves it, too. Ussually the worm does not show up if there are no tomato plants around, but if it does, just pull it off( it won't hurt you) and smash it. When the flowers turn to seed, watch them closely, and when you notice that a few seeds have fallen, it's time to "bring in the crop"!!!!

Have fun and good luck!!!!

Been organic gardening %26amp; using "companion planting" for over 20 yrs.
Reply:Dill is easy to grow, about the easiest of the common kitchen herbs. It usually is grown in full sunexcept some of the hottest and driest climates where it may do better in partial shade. It can grow pretty tall, I have seen it 5'. The dwarf vaieties might be better in a flower garden.
Reply:Since dill is considered a weed it grows very easy.
Reply:Dill is very easy to grow, just be sure not to grow it near any fennel as they will hybrid. Full sun is fine. Pinch the tops before they flower and this is so funny...last year I was buying seeds and the dill didn't do so well, so I asked my hubby, I wonder if you can grow it from dill seed bought at the grocery store. Well, a can of it cost me 79 cents and the dill grew beautifully!! Don't waste your money on garden seed, buy it in the spice aisle!!
Reply:Dill prefers full sun and may need support from winds. It self-sows so choose a permanent position.Plant as seed anytime but winter. Thin the seedlings out when about 5cms to give them room to grow. Can grow to 1m. Seeds quickly and abundantly. Needs water in hot weather and mulch well. To collect the seeds It is easy to hang the spent flowers in a brown paper bag upside down in a cool dry place ,until the seeds ripen and fall into the bag. Then let the seeds dry by spreading them out in a warm dark place on something like thick brown paper.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 and colours?

On Adobe Photoshop CS2, how do I make it so that I can have the main part of the photo in black and white or grayscale, but have splashes of the original colour throughout? For example, I have my cousins wedding photo and the original is in colour. I want the photo to be a black and white or grayscale photo, but I want the flowers to stay in the original colour. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Reply:convert it to black and white (or desaturated) then use the art history brush tool to paint the colors back in where u want it.

Reply:ok
Reply:1. Two quick and easy way you can do is duplicate 2 copies then click on the word Image scroll to down to the word mode and click on grayscale to change from colour to black %26amp;white and save it. for the next colour copy use your patch tools %26amp; eraser tools to re-move the flower you need and copy %26amp; paste it on the black and white picture but before you can take the colour picture over to the black %26amp; white you will need to go back to Image scroll to down to the word mode and click back on RGB colour after doing that just place the flower on top of the black %26amp; white one and save it.

2. There is a easier way you can do this make duplicate then use the patch tool brush just below the crop tool to circle the flower go up to edit click on COPY after doing that next click on the word Image scroll to down to the word mode and click on grayscale to change from colour to black %26amp;white all the photo will become black %26amp; white do not worry remember you did copy it and it still there waiting for you to paste it. Go back Image scroll to down to the word mode Click on RGB colour and go up to edit and click on paste and save it.

For hlkljgk answer number two (2) that a great way to do it also.

Good Luck.
Reply:Save one file in b/w and the orignal as color.

Copy and paste the flower part from the color into the black and white file.
Reply:An easier way is to use layers.

Copy the layer (Ctrl+J)

Make top layer B%26amp;W (Image%26gt;Adjustments%26gt;Desaturate or Ctrl+Shift+U)

Pull up a Layer Mask on to the top Layer (the 'Front Loading Washing Machine' Icon on the Layers Palette).

Select the Brush Tool (Press 'B' on the keyboard)

Make sure Black is your foreground colour and 'Opacity' is at 100% then paint on the Mask (click on the Mask to select it, it will have a frame around it to show it's selected). Wherever you paint on the image with Black will reveal the coloured pixels from the Layer beneath, wherever you paint with White will hide them again - full control.

Alter the Brush size with the 'Square Bracket' keys (next to the letter 'P' on your keyboard) Left Square Bracket makes the brush smaller, right Square Bracket makes it bigger.

Zoom in to make it easier then press and hold the 'Spacebar' and left click and drag on the image to move it around.

    Can you identify this weed?

I thought this was a flower so I let it grow in the garden when I moved into my house and it has taken over the flower beds, and lawn (in shady spots where the grass wasn't healthy to begin with). The root is white and thin like a hair and goes down about 1.5 feet, then below that there is a huge parsnip-like root (so if you pull it the thin part breaks and you're left with the big root that grows back at least two plants!). Any ideas what this is and how to kill it (it is mixed in with my perrenials). The pic is of it as a mature plant flowering: http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t109/...

    Can you identify this weed?
Did you take this picture, and are you sure this is the plant you have? The plant in your photo is known as Campanula glomerata or Campanulata glomerata 'Superba'. We sell it as an ornamental perennial here in Michigan. I have never seen this growing so rampantly that it would be annoying. So you must have the perfect conditions for it.

I am thinking it could be also reseeding itself so perhaps if you deadhead them it might help.

I am sorry to say the only control other than hand removing them would be spraying them with Roundup. This stuff will kill everything so you must be careful not to get it on desirable plants if you want to keep them.
Reply:I'm am unable to identify it maybe because I live in Australia and it might not grow here, but I am pretty sure it is a perennial plant you have a pic of. I have not seen any actual know weed like this.

Definition of a weed, is any plant that is taking over and growing in the wrong place. For example your garden.

To remove it just use a weed killer, a systemic one that is taken into the leaves of the plants then onto the root system. As you cannot spray because its amongst your other plants, paint it on the leaves on a warm to hot day, the plant will take up the weed killer better in these conditions.
Reply:That's odd. The only "weed" I know of with purple flowers is chicory, but this is not it. What state do you live in? That might help us figure out what weed it is.

It also does not seem to be "Dog Violet", nor does it appear to be Creeping Charlie, both of which have purple flowers.
Reply:It is Campanula... Bellflower.. and yes, it does become invasive... control measures: hoe when young, pull older ones, do not let plants go to seed
