What part of a plant are flowers most closely associated with?
Carpel.
Reply:You have to scroll down a bit at this link but carpels and stamens. Carpels are the "female" reproductive unit of the flower. A pistil is made up of a carpel or carpels. The stamens is the "male" reproductive part of the plant. The stamens produces the pollen and the carpel has the ovaries and a part of those is the ovule. Some flowers have both male and female parts, the same exact plant, and some only have the male or the female parts. Even if it has both parts self-fertilization is not automatic. Some will still cross-pollinate same species.
Reply:hm.your question is not very clear.Flower is modified stem which is responsible for carrying out reproduction.

Just like a stem the flower also shows nodes and inter-nodes.

FRom the nodes various nodes arise various floral nodes-calyx,corolla,androceium,gynoecium...

Calxy is the outer most whorl made up of individual sepals

Corolla is the worls of colourful petals.

Androceium consists of the anthers, while the gynoecium consists of the ovule.
