Can I split my Stargazer bulbs?

I'm replanting a bulb bed and since it was so full of the Stargazer lily's last year I want to share them in other beds. I was suprised at how large the bulbs are but that I had so few for the amount of flowers I had the last two years. So I wonder can I split these hugh bulbs into many differnt small parts and replant them?

yes, I'm new to this...

Can I split my Stargazer bulbs?
Don't cut individual bulbs. Split the root/tuber ball into sections and replant them that way. Remember that you don't need many bulbs to have many flowers. So a few here and a few there will give you color all over your garden.
Reply:We were all new once, and for a long time! To divide your stargazers, dig up and place on a tarp. While it's on the tarp, look for natural separations in the bulb. Using a knife or a trowel divide the plant at these separations. Have your new planting holes ready.
