I have a small size planter (25ft long and 2-4ft wide) in front of my house. The planter is made out of natural rocks nad there are 3 trees evenly a part which are about 6 feet tall and is treemed like big Bonzai tree. This planter gets about 4-5 hours of sunlight during morning time and has sprinklers.
There are like 3 sections on this planter that I like to fill it with somewhat low maintenance flowers. What are your suggestions? TIA.
What will be the good ground cover for my planter?
Plant material choices always depend on where you live. You can use perennials or annuals, ornamental grasses or strap or broadleaf leaf plants. I would suggest you take a trip to a local nursery, talk to the staff there and explain what you want.
Reply:Mulch or river rock. Mulch fades and breaks down over time, so I use river rock myself.
Reply:how about some mulch for ground cover.
