What's a good picture editing program?

I'm looking for a program that has something where you can crop part of the picture say a flower and have that stay color but have the rest of the picture be black and white or antique or some other color. I'm not to fond of Adobe, and I don't have any money at the moment to pay for a good program that I can use. Does anyone know of anything? It'd be a big help.

The main contributor of photo editing would have to be adobe photoshop, I'm not really a fan of this program as it is really advanced for average users.



So i recommend you use a program called Macromedia Fireworks , it is great.

Reply:Well there is a user friendly Adobe out there called Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0. The first time I used it was amazing I was able to create Illuminating pictures
