Did the main characters (chris and cathy) have sex in the novel "flowers in the attic"?

I know its gross but did they do it?my friend says they did it but she read the original version,I read the translated version so now I'm thinking if its possible fot the translator to change the book? Because it says something like "we were really close to doing it bu I escaped at the last minute" Last minute before what, intercourse or ejaculation? Its a weird book after all..If they did it,which part of the book is it?

Reply:I read this book when it first came out. Chris rapes Cathy. And just for the record, they both have the same parents, so that would make them siblings, not step-siblings or half-siblings.
Reply:no they def. did
Reply:It's been a while since I've read the book, but yes they did. There are many books that stem from the main one and makes for lots of good reading.
Reply:they did it... I never read Flowers in the Attic but I did read Petals on the Wind (second in the series) and she has a miscarriage and said that the baby was Chris's
