Do you understand flowers? In a science way?

I need some help with some questions about flowers.

1. Is the Brassica flower a monocot or a dicot? Explain your answer.

2. Which parts of the flower can perform photosynthesis?

3. Is this flower a part of the gametophyte or sporophyte generation? Explain your answer.

4. What does the anther produce?

5. What cells would you find in the ovary?

6. What is the difference between fertilization and pollination?

7. Put in chronological order. #1 first, #8 last.

Egg is fertilized by one of the two sperm cells.

Endosperm is produced, one of the two sperm cells

Flower blossoms

Flower petal falls off %26amp; the ovary begins to swell

Fruit is formed

Pollen grain undergoes division to produce 2 sperm cells

Pollination occurs

Seed is formed

If you know any of these questions, that would be a help. I think I know some, but I just wanna make sure. Thanks

Do you understand flowers? In a science way?
1. Is the Brassica flower a monocot or a dicot? Explain your answer. Not sure about this one!

2. Which parts of the flower can perform photosynthesis? Any parts that are green ie contain chlorophyll., mainly the leaves.

3. Is this flower a part of the gametophyte or sporophyte generation? Explain your answer.Which flower?

4. What does the anther produce? Male sex cell, pollen.

5. What cells would you find in the ovary? Ovules containing the female sex cell.

6. What is the difference between fertilization and pollination?Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther to the stigma, usual transfer is by insect or wind. Fertilisation is when the pollen grain on the stigma grows a pollen tube down the style into the ovary. The male nucleus passes down the pollen tube and fuses with (fertilises) the female nucleus in the ovule.
