What is a painting called that has 3 canvases?

The canvas has the left part of the picture, the middle-the middle of course, and the right has the right.



I′ve seen a lot of pictures of flowers like this, and now want to paint something myself-it looks so nice.

Reply:It is called a triptych and I believe dates to the Renaissance
Reply:it's called a triptych, as a painting or piece of art with 2 parts is called a diptych.
Reply:Tryptichs were designed as altar pieces which were opened out to be seen on special days in the religious calender.
