Name the plants whose following parts are eaten?

c)fruits

d)flowers

i need atleast three each.......

i have got a diet chart to eat like this so i want to know them....pls help

Name the plants whose following parts are eaten?
Here are a few for each



leaves:

cabbage, spinach, collard greens, mustard greens, watercress, brussels sprouts etc



seeds

pumpkin seeds, any kind of nut, pomegranate



fruit

apples, bananas, strawberries, plums, grapes, eggplant, tomatoes, any kind of bean



flowers

broccoli, violet, chive or garlic blossoms, elderflower, basil, roses, safflower



stems

rhubarb, broccoli, asparagus, leeks, spring onions



underground stems/roots



ginger, carrots, turnips, potatoes, yam, cocoyam, cassava

Reply:Dandelions.. yes the seeds can be eaten,

so can the stems but drain the white stuff out and save the white stuff for external sores.

young leaves are good in salads,

the flowers good steamed with butter added to it

roots can be ground for seasoning or roasted to make a coffee substitute,

Broccolli the whole plant is edible. Spinach, Beets, Kholrabi, Carrots. That's all I can think of for now!

d) flowers: zucchini flowers, capers (are the bud before flowering), mushrooms
