What to wear with a brown and turquise dress - Help!?

I am going to a wedding and have bought a lovely dress but have no idea what shoes, jewellery and jacket/cardigan to wear with it.... The dress is strapless, mid to dark brown with turquiose flowers round the embroidered round the lower part of the skirt and is mid calf length. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What to wear with a brown and turquise dress - Help!?
Some pretty brown, high-heel sandals. A simple wrap in either color. And turquoise and/or gold jewelry. Don't worry about being too matchy-matchy; that's too 1980's. Pick classic accessories that will work with several outfits you already own.
Reply:u can follow simple rule of elegance - do not have on more than three colours at a time.

so this means that you can have shoes and a clutch in another colour and it will still work. I would say stay away from turquoise because it has so many shades it may be difficult to find right stuff. Go for a kitten heal shoes as they go very well with the mid-calf length and a small bag or a clutch which has long strap - so it is not in your hands the whole time. Colour - beige, cream and it would be nice if the clutch or small bag has some embroidery on it. if your skin-tone is pale than go for a brown pashmina and if you have a tan or darker skin than definitely go for cream or beige pashmina.

consider a hat. strapless dress means a lovely neckless and nothing else as far as jewelry goes. If you can find one with pieces of turqoise stone than you have a real winner otherwise go for 'real' piece that you have not plasticky etc as it will draw attention so it is better to have a real thing even if it is a simple chain.

hope this helps
Reply:turquise accessories and brown shoes and shawl
Reply:I would try to bring out the turquiose, maybe a shawl, a great bangle bracelet ... I like an open neck with a strapless, so I'd avoid a necklace. for shoes, you can either do brown or turquoise, but I'd go with brown sandals and let your few accessories (shawl, bangle, the embroidery) really pop.
Reply:any to match
Reply:Do you need a jacket or a cardigan with the dress? Why not a small bolero with long sleeves if necessary.....turquoise sandals, turquoise beaded bag and a light gold necklace with tiny turquoise crystals, Have fun....I love dressing up for weddings!!!!
Reply:Silver shoes and jewels.
Reply:Accessorise in turquoise, that includes shoes, bag and jewelry. Wear fairly high, strappy sandals-they will accentuate the shape of you legs and make you calfs look slimmer. Wear a turquoise bolero so that it is not too close to the detail on the dress. Try keep the jewelry simple and make sure the colour of your bag matches the colour of your shoes well. Enjoy the wedding!
Reply:Brown or silver strap sandals and minimal turquoise jewelry
Reply:I would go with silver accessories. Perhaps a chunky multi strand toursade necklace and bracelet with drop earrings. Just my opinion without seeing the complete outfit.
Reply:Brown shoes,brown jacket(elegant),turquoise jewelry.That's really simple.
Reply:Having done a fashion design course at college, I would normally never consider mixing brown and turquoise on an item in any respect; Brown %26amp; Turquoise do not normally go together... However, In the brown region, you want to be aiming for colors in the green or red spectrum and for turquoise, complementing colors are Yellow, pale green, and darker blues.

As for accessories, I cannot really advise you, since I was purely designing clothes, not matchouts to go with them!
Reply:Wear a fitted jacket in turquiose and strappy high heel sandals (velvet look would be good) in brown/beige. You can get great chunky jewellery in turquoise. But it depends on the pattern of the flowers. If the flowers are large print go for the chunky variety, a abstract shape would be good or a disc circle with side stones around the neckline. If the flowerprint is smaller go for a more subtle turquiose peice either costume or really with small turquoise stones such as marquiseque or aqua crystals.(QVC do some good stuff) A central stone peice is essential with stapless dresses or your neck will look stumpy. Good luck and happy shopping.
Reply:Well for starters on the shoes how about this one

or

then I would find a simple white shawl or thin sweater to wear over the top if too cool out.

Maybe a nice gold necklace and anklet.
Reply:I would go for turquise shoes and cardi.
Reply:wear brown hig heals, and a brown jacket maybe? and turquoise jewlery
Reply:I would try brown shoes, probably strappy. (since the dress is srapless, show off most of your foot. No closed toe shoes.) You might luck up and find some with one turquoise strap. (I have a pair like that.) Wear a simple turquoise necklace, bracelet and earrings, maybe a small tear drop pair.. (Don't over do it with the jewlery!!!!!) A nice brown wrap or shrug (short jacket) would go nice. No full jacket though. And wear your hair up, show your shoulders when you take your wrap off.

Have a nice time!!
Reply:Black heels and brushed or antiqued gold earrings and necklace that are simple and tasteful, or a necklace that has a smoky topaz or turquoise cluster hanging from a circlet. Stick to gold because it's more dressy. If you can't find a turquoise crocheted sweater or wrap to match the flowers on your dress, wear that or stick to black.
Reply:Jean jacket...brown shoes....no black purse or shoes...i don't know about jewelry. Something simple %26amp; gold. Like a gold necklace. Nothing cheesy. The dress sounds pretty enough to draw attention to it...so don't overdo the jewelry.
Reply:shoes i would try to match w/ the brown of the dress-probably open toe-jewelry i would go w/ turqouise-keep the jewelry simple-b/c the dress sounds beautiful and you dont want to take away from that-maybe wear your hair up if you can-have fun
Reply:I think gold high heeled shoes, a gold clutch bag and maybe a thin gold belt too!

The dress sounds gorgeous!
Reply:Brown shoes and wrap, turquoise jewelry.
Reply:I would say.. brown or tan shoes, turquiose cardigan or wrap, and silver jewlery
Reply:off set the dress with the colors in it everything from make up to earrings etc.
Reply:Wear silver strappy sandals, silver jewellery and a turquoise pasmina.
Reply:less is more sounds as if the dress already has its own attractions so go strappy with some open toe heel and try cat eye or or earth jewerly or you can really play it up sliver and turquiose or leather .
Reply:What id do is wear a turquoise shrug, turquoise shoes and turquoise clutch bag - and then very minimalistic silver jewelry
