the plant has a hollow stem and quit large leaves with serriated edges has a lot of blossoms with purple inside them.mostly white outer parts.the out side of the blossem is a pinwheel shape.. and seems to open more in the evening. its got up to 4 ft tall now ..lots of branches. dark green leaves and stem. have picts of it but can't post them here..

Your description of the flower sounds like it's a morning glory. I have one in the backyard and it's growing like a vine. It's beautiful.
