When, throughout an indoor plants life-cycle, is carbon dioxide the most beneficial for it?

When growing plants in an indoor greenhouse, and assuming the parts-per-million of CO2 in the atmosphere are at optiomal levels, when does the plant need it the most? Assuming a 60 day flowering period after a 30 day grow cycle.
